Well i seem to be going to the New Wembley Stadium every season now!!! After previous visits to the old one for Torquay v Bolton in 89, Torquay v Blackpool in 91, Torquay v Colchester 98, two visits to see Madonna live in 90 and 93 and a tour of the stadium when i was a kid. I have now been every year since the new one opened. Exeter v Morecambe in the Conference Play Off Final in 2007 in what was a record crowd for a Conference game back then. This was only the 5th ever game played there. Then Torquay v Ebbsfleet in 2008 in the FA Trophy Final and now here i am again in 2009. i am writing the this quite a time after the game so it will not have too much of the game in it but more so what happened that day for me. Of the Hampshire Gulls: Nelson and Hawes could not make it, Samaritan had his drum and was with the Pop siders and i met up with Bannister and some of his friends for this one. As always it was breathtaking inside Wembley i got there about half an hour before kick off. A great day with 'Jesus' Hargreaves scoring the first and Sillsy the 2nd and woohoohooooooooo we are back in the football league. I did, as myself and Bannister made our way dowto the lower area to celebrate, bump into Samaritan, Dave ' Southamptongull' and Scotty Brehaut. Best day of my life.
