Very much a last minute game for me as i wasn't expecting to be paid by this date But there it was in my account so headed of to Cams Alders. Took the bus routefor this which is a rarity for me i usually go away on the train. Lovely day and i admit quite a nice journey. Damn well saw a Red Phone Box AND a Wetherspoons when i arrived on the bus!!! But as you already know i am having problems with my camera phone... i should really buy a new one!!! The bus drops you nearby the ground. In fact the one change ihad at Fareham bus station i meta guy, not a hopper, who was going to the game so advised me accordingly. He went off at the game to be with his friends. I was alone for this one though as it was last minute. It was great that this was In Memory of the late Tony Kempster. Only a 'voluntary' £1 entry fee. Most people paying two or five and saying keep the change, and a programme for £1 too. Turns out with a head count from splodge of 110, raising approx £268 for TK's requested charity Macmillan Cancer Research is brilliant. talking of splodge it was great to meet him briefly before the game by the PA Room, man alive that man is a legend at the ground!! Takes my Tony(tick) up to two!! Cams Alders is a lovely little ground andi really enjoyed my stay there. Must say the Bar/Clubhouse was stunning. Slodge advised me not to go last year as it wouldbe better to wait tilit was finished and wow it was like a bloody nightclub. As i am writing this a week later most aspects of the game have gone from my memory!!! I remember Fareham had one or two very new and exciting players. I also remember Splodge being stood behind the goal and making a great save from a missed shot that ended in the hedge behind!!! Would happily return. As i had no cam the pic is from www.worldstadia.com and shows what the srtand looked like before the clubhouse renovation. On a return visit i will take a new pic so you can compare.
Entry : £1 donation towards Macmillan, in memory of Tony Kempster
Programme : £1 in aid of Macmillan
Pin Badge : £3 sold to me by Splodge!
Refreshments : Cheeseburger blooming lovely £2.50 and water at £1.10 which was nice and cold
